Do you love animals? Do you have at least a few hours each week you can commit to helping them? If so, AWARE’s animals need your help!

AWARE helps up to 2,000 animals each year relying almost exclusively on volunteers like you. As an AWARE volunteer, you commit to a regular weekly shift of 9a-2p, 1p-6p, or 4p-close (around 9pm). Most volunteers start out working on animal care, doing things like feeding animals, cleaning their living spaces, and preparing their meals. With experience, some move on to working with our Ambassador animals, like Ellis. D. Owl or our bobcat, Savannah. Other volunteers work on tasks like maintaining our center, photography/videography of our animals, making calls to find placement for animals ready to leave our care, and more. Depending on your skill level and interests, we will find a great way for you to help!

If you’re interested or have questions, fill out our volunteer information application or email our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@awarewildlife.org. You will receive an email inviting you to attend our next Volunteer Orientation, usually on the first Saturday of each month between 1p-5p. Hope to see you then!
